How to correct a video start time after import

Fix a wrong recorder clock or start time after import. Adjust the time and time zone, and the change and your reason are written to the disclosure log.

Patricia McCabeSoftware Engineer

Every so often you import a video and for whatever reason the start time is needs to be changed. The time might be off on the recorder or you’ve put in the incorrect time, or you didn’t know the true start time when you imported it. If that ever happens you can change it at any time after import. When you select a video from the video list an Adjust Video Time icon will appear.

A video card in the video list with an arrow pointing to the Adjust Video Time icon.

When you click the icon the Adjust Video Time widow appears:

The Adjust Video Time window with the original start time, adjusted start time, time zone and a box for the reason for the change.

Here you can see the original import time and adjust both the start time and the time zone. There is a text box allowing you to state the reasons for changing the time. Each time the start time of the video is changes a note of it is made in the disclosure logs along with the reasons for the change. Once you’ve changed the start time and accepted the changes then the new time should be reflected throughout Kinesense.
