How to export case and report disclosure reports

Export a PDF of who did what in a case, and disclosure reports for video, image, annotation and clarification reports, to support evidential integrity.

In an age where any actor can be replaced in a film with Nicolas Cage(what a time to be alive!), it is becoming more and more important to be able to keep an account of everything that is happening to the videos you are processing and who is accessing them. Disclosure reports are one way of doing this in Kinesense. We have two main types of disclosure reports, the first exports a table with data on who accessed Kinesense and what they did for that case. The second is all about the current report you’re working on and what alternations you’ve applied.

Case Disclosure Report

The case disclosure report can be created from the Options menu on the top right hand side by selecting Save Disclosure Report.

The Options menu with Save Disclosure Report highlighted.

The Save Disclosure Report box should pop up giving you the options to export a PDF of either everything or selecting a specific date.

The Save Disclosure Report dialog, set to export for all dates.

Expanding Parts will give you even more options.

Each checked category will export a table containing different columns with information relevant to that category. For example Import contains the name of the video imported, the start and end time of the video, if there was an offset applied to the video, when the video was imported and the name of the file. At the end of each report it lists all the categories not included in the report.

Disclosure for Reporting Tab

There are 3 different types of disclosure reports that can be exporting from within the Reporting tab which can all be accessed for the Disclosure button that’s hiding a the bottom of the report toolbar on each tab. Its also possible to configure Kinesense (see Settings Editor) to automatically generate a report disclosure each time.

The first type can be found in the video and image report tab. It makes a report like a regular PDF report except it includes all the notes and logs for each clip. The second is in annotation and will export a report based on the clip you’re currently viewing. It’ll export a report with an image of the current clip with the annotations applied and a list of the different annotations.

The last is in the clarification report. Again this exports based on the clip you are currently viewing. This time it exports out the source image and then an image after each clarifications had been applied and the settings used.
