How to reprocess a video with different analysis settings

Re-run analysis on an imported video, or just part of it, with a different algorithm or mode instead of importing it again.

When importing a video into Kinesense there are a lot of different options that can be applied. You might not know which of these you need to apply to your video until after you’ve imported it. Instead of importing it again, which can be a pain since you might not even have a copy of the original video, you can just reprocess it.

The Reprocess window with start and end times and the analysis algorithm options.

In KinesenseLE v4.0, the reprocess button is available under Algorithms. Select a video from the list on the left and click the icon for Algorithms. Click ‘Reprocess’.

A video card with arrows pointing to the Algorithms button and the Reprocess button.

By default the whole video will be reprocessed but if you only need a section of it done then you can change the start and end time of the reprocessing. Other options include change the analysis algorithm used and changing the analysis mode.

The result of reprocess will appear in the ‘Algorithms’ dropdown. In Review, clicking an ‘Algorithm’ entry will display the detection results on the timeline.

To delete the detection data for an algorithm, just right-click on it and select ‘delete’.
